How much money could solar save on my TNB bill?

Many homeowners reduce their monthly bill by around 70–90%. If you currently pay RM400 each month, your estimated savings could be RM280–360. Enter your actual bill in our calculator to receive a more personal estimate.

What does Solar ATAP mean, and how does it help homeowners?

Solar ATAP replaced NEM 3.0 in January 2026. Under this programme, homeowners can send unused solar electricity to the TNB grid. The exported power earns credits based on the Energy Charge rate, which is about RM0.218/kWh. With the right system size, these credits can bring your remaining TNB bill close to zero.

How quickly can you install my solar system?

The work at your home usually takes 1–2 days. However, the complete process may require 4–8 weeks. This period covers the Solar ATAP application, meter changes, inspections, and final approval from TNB. Our team manages each part for you.

Can I install solar without making an upfront payment?

Yes. We provide more than seven payment choices. These include 0% IPP installments through eight credit-card banks, green loans starting from 3.5% per year, Islamic financing, hire purchase, BNPL, and PPA plans. Depending on approval, you may finance the full price and begin saving from the first month.

What warranty comes with a solar system?

Each installation includes a 25-year panel performance warranty. The panels are expected to retain at least 80% of their output by year 25. You also receive a 12-year product warranty for selected equipment and mounting parts, plus five years of workmanship coverage.

Will the panels still produce power when the weather is cloudy or rainy?

Yes. Panels continue working when sunlight is weak, although their output will be lower. During cloudy weather, production may fall to around 10–25% of peak capacity. Malaysia still receives enough sunlight across the year for strong overall generation. At night, your home automatically draws electricity from the TNB grid.

Can solar panels be installed on my roof?

Most roofs in Malaysia can support a solar system. Start with our free remote roof assessment. If you need a full on-site check, book a priority visit for RM100.

Our team will examine the roof structure, available space, shading, and electrical setup. If you proceed with us, the RM100 will be deducted from your project price.

Is the RM4,000 SolaRIS rebate still available?

No. The RM4,000 SolaRIS government rebate ended in April 2025, so new applications are no longer accepted. Solar can still offer good long-term value. Many systems achieve an estimated payback period of five to seven years, while Solar ATAP credits can provide further savings.
